Long presents Gold Star lapel pin to brother of fallen hero, William Jett

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) issued the following statement after presenting a replacement Gold Star lapel pin to Charles Jett.

“Today, I had the honor of presenting Charles Jett, a retired military veteran, with a replacement Gold Star lapel pin in honor of his late brother, William Jett," said Rep. Long. “William was a member of the U.S. Army, but was killed in action in 1967. Sadly, over the years the original pin was lost. After contacting our office, we were able to help Charles get a replacement. I can’t thank these two men enough for their service and sacrifice.”
