Long votes to reduce spending, and rein in the deficit

Washington, DC, October 5, 2017

 – Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) released the following statement after the passage of the House FY2018 Budget, Building a Better America:

“I made a promise to cut spending, promote job creation and protect this country,” said Rep. Long. “Today I voted in favor of the FY18 budget. This bill will balance the budget within 10 years, prioritize regulation reform, pave the way for tax reform, limit the size of the federal government and strengthen our national defense. The status quo cannot continue, ‘Building a Better America’ starts with fiscal responsibility.”
