ICYMI: It’s not too late to submit an original piece of artwork for this year’s 38th annual congressional art competition

SPRINGFIELD, MO – This year marks the 38thannual high school art competition held by the Congressional Institute that allows students from all across the country to showcase their artistic talents by submitting an original piece of artwork. Here in Missouri’s 7th Congressional District, once students have submitted their artwork the pieces are judged by a panel made up of local artists who will select the winning piece. This year’s art competition deadline is Friday, April 26, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.

“WANTED: High School artists who want to have their artwork displayed for a year in the nation’s capital. You never know what our professional judges are looking for, so please encourage students you know to enter the competition,” said Rep. Long. “Prizes and awards go to the top three finishers. Every year I’m so proud of what these student submit as the talent level is incredible.”
