Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) this week joined other House Republican colleagues in demanding President Obama withdraw his administration’s recent directive threatening denial of federal supplemental funds and other potential repercussions to local school districts who don’t allow students to use their bathroom of choice without regard for their gender.

“It would seem the Obama administration feels confident enough on issues like defeating ISIS, securing our borders, jump-starting our lagging economy, and has turned their attention toward mandating school bathroom policies for Southwest Missouri students.

“This administration cannot continue ignoring the will of state and local governments, and especially shouldn’t do so with unilateral executive mandates like this,” said Rep. Long.“As your Congressman, I will continue protecting the rights of parents and our local schools relentlessly.”
